Senior Mechanical Estimator

We are working with a large, highly successful M&E contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator for their Regional office in Leeds.This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented Mechanical Estimator looking to work on larger, more complex, and higher-value projects while having a clear and accelerated progression path into the Estimating Manager role for the Yorkshire and North region.About the RoleAs Senior Mechanical Estimator you will be responsible for producing accurate and competitive mechanical estimates across a range of high-profile commercial, industrial, and technically complex projects.

You will play a key role in the continued growth of the Northern division.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare detailed mechanical estimates from first principles for projects ranging from £1m to multi-million pound schemesReview tender documentation, specifications, and drawings to identify risks and opportunitiesLiaise with supply chain partners to secure competitive pricingAttend pre- and post-tender meetings with clients and design teamsWork closely with the commercial and project teams to ensure seamless handover of successful bidsSupport the development of junior estimators within the teamRequirementsProven experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E / Building Services sectorStrong commercial awareness and excellent analytical skillsThorough knowledge of mechanical building services systemsExperience pricing a range of project types (including data centres, commercial, or high-tech schemes is advantageous)Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tendersStrong communication and interpersonal skillsWhat’s on OfferHighly competitive basic salary (dependent on experience)Company car or car allowancePension, private healthcare, and additional benefitsClear and fast progression opportunity into Estimating Manager – North RegionOpportunity to work on some of the most exciting M&E projects in the NorthThis is a genuine career-defining role for the right person.
