Registered Occupational Therapist
Job Description
Life Care Centers is seeking a Registered Occupational Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team, providing compassionate, evidence-based rehabilitation to seniors in a patient-first, family-focused environment.
As part of Life Care Centers of America, a national leader in senior living and rehabilitation, you will work in a collaborative, team-based setting dedicated to quality outcomes and dignified, person-centered care.
In this role, you will evaluate residents’ functional abilities, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver skilled occupational therapy interventions that promote independence, safety, and enhanced quality of life.
You will provide therapy focused on activities of daily living, mobility, cognitive and perceptual skills, and adaptive equipment use, while incorporating each resident’s personal goals and preferences.
You will collaborate closely with nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, physicians, social services, and families to ensure coordinated care and effective discharge planning.
The Registered Occupational Therapist will complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic health record, monitor progress toward measurable goals, and adjust treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient response.
You will educate residents and caregivers on home safety, fall prevention, energy conservation, and compensatory strategies to support functional independence beyond the care setting.
This position offers the opportunity to grow professionally through exposure to a wide range of clinical conditions common in the senior population, including orthopedic, neurological, cardiopulmonary, and cognitive disorders.
You will contribute to a culture of excellence by upholding regulatory and ethical standards, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting Life Care Centers’ mission of compassionate, high-quality care.
In keeping with our patient-first values, you will foster a supportive, respectful atmosphere that honors residents and their families, while working closely with a multidisciplinary team committed to outstanding healthcare outcomes and ongoing professional development.
