Job Description

Baptist Urgent Care is seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiologic Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team.

In this role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic exams for patients presenting with a wide range of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries in a fast-paced urgent care environment.

Working closely with our providers and clinical staff, you will use your imaging expertise to support timely, accurate clinical decisions while ensuring the safety, comfort, and dignity of every patient.As a Radiologic Technologist at Baptist Urgent Care, you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients for X-ray examinations, operating radiographic equipment according to established protocols, and adhering strictly to radiation safety and infection control standards.

You will verify patient identity, obtain relevant clinical history, explain procedures in clear and compassionate terms, and provide reassurance to patients and families who may be anxious or in pain.

You will review images for diagnostic quality, utilize PACS/RIS and electronic medical record systems to document and transmit studies, and collaborate with providers to address any additional imaging needs.You will thrive in our caring, community-focused culture, where teamwork, empathy, and patient-centered care guide everything we do.

You will be expected to communicate effectively with nurses, providers, medical assistants, and front-office staff to coordinate efficient patient flow and prioritize exams based on clinical urgency.

In addition to imaging duties, you may assist with basic clinical tasks within your scope of practice, such as taking vital signs, supporting triage, helping with room turnover, and contributing to a clean, safe, and well-organized clinical environment.This position is ideal for a Radiologic Technologist who values integrity, compassion, and quality service, and who is comfortable working independently while remaining an engaged member of a collaborative team.
