Sales Education Manager
Job Description
Performance Foodservice is seeking a Sales Education Manager to design, lead, and continuously improve sales training programs that elevate the performance of our regional sales teams serving the Food & Beverage Operations industry.
In this role, you will combine deep foodservice knowledge with adult learning best practices to build and deliver education that strengthens product expertise, consultative selling skills, and customer-service excellence.
You will partner closely with Sales Leadership, Training & Development, and key cross‑functional stakeholders to assess capability gaps, translate business priorities into actionable learning plans, and measure impact on revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
The Sales Education Manager will conduct training needs analyses across assigned regions, develop curriculum and learning paths for new hires and experienced sales professionals, and maintain a robust portfolio of instructor‑led, virtual, and self‑paced courses.
You will create engaging content, including playbooks, sales tools, and job aids tailored to Performance Foodservice’s extensive portfolio of over 150,000 food and food‑related products.
Leveraging learning technologies and learning management systems, you will schedule and track participation, assess knowledge retention, and provide ongoing coaching and reinforcement to ensure adoption of best‑in‑class sales practices.Operating in a highly team‑oriented, innovation‑driven culture, you will collaborate with Regional Sales Consultants and field leaders to pilot new training approaches, refine educational materials based on frontline feedback, and share best practices across markets.
You will regularly facilitate live workshops, ride‑along coaching sessions, and virtual trainings that build skills in prospecting, territory management, pricing strategies, menu and margin analysis, and solution‑based selling to independent restaurants, healthcare, education, and national account customers.
You will also support product launches and strategic initiatives by crafting targeted training campaigns and sales enablement content aligned with marketing and category management.The ideal candidate brings strong sales experience in the foodservice or Food & Beverage Operations sector, coupled with a background in Training & Development, sales enablement, or learning and development.
You should be comfortable analyzing sales performance data and KPIs to diagnose training needs and demonstrate the impact of your programs on revenue, penetration, and retention.
Excellent presentation, facilitation, and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work in a hybrid environment with regular regional travel for onsite training.
