Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Respiratory Therapist Discipline: Allied Health Professional Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Respiratory Therapist About Facility: o 247 Licensed Beds o Level 1 Pediatric Trauma Center o Teaching Hospital o Chest Pain Center o Certified Stroke Center o Radius rule: Traveler’s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit Department Information: o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 years Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team) o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Will provide Respiratory care for all patients throughout facility o Neonate – Pediatric; will care for Adults as often as is needed when floated Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: o BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP (Resource Team requirements) o RRT or CRT o NC Licensure Skills required: o 2 years Respiratory Therapy (Resource Team); IPPV/NIPPV ventilator experience o ED, PICU, Peds CVICU, Peds PCU, Gen Med Floors Support within the Department: o Respiratory Leadership Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC o Department specific Equipment: ventilators (IPPV/NIPPV) Floating: o Will be required to float per Region needs – will require floating to all facilities listed below, as needed, within scope of practice – DECLINE if not agreeable Region 1 - Cabarrus, University City, Stanly, Lake Norman, any Freestanding ED within Region, Central Division (CMC Main Mercy LCH) If floating mid-shift, Traveler will be paid for the time traveling between facilities (will remain on the clock) Orientation (facility and unit) : o NEO o 2 days departmental Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: every other o No call o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Can approve up to 6 days off, excluding holidays – must add time to the end of the contract if unable to meet contracted hours o Shift times: 0645-1915/1845-0715 o Schedule cycle: every 6 weeks Other notes: o Scrub Color: Royal blue o Parking: Free Excite Health Partners Allied Job ID 171799.
