OB/GYN Needed for Locum Tenens Coverage at Facility in Massachusetts

A 385-bed facility is seeking an OB/GYN for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in Massachusetts. Shifts are 24 hours in length, and the provider must remain in-house during their shift. Responsibilities include managing unassigned OB patients in L&D and the ER, providing coverage for obstetric emergencies, and managing unassigned GYN patients in the ER. The provider will handle all patients presenting to the OB-ED, perform antepartum, postpartum, and GYN rounds on unassigned hospitalist patients, and conduct inpatient consults. They will provide emergent GYN surgical services, such as for ruptured ectopic pregnancies, ovarian torsion, and incomplete abortions, and offer call coverage for community providers, managing their patients as needed.
