Travel Nurse RN

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Interventional Radiology Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 08:00 - 16:30 Hours per Shift: 8.5 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required Certifications: Moderate sedation for nurses Must-Have: Moderate sedation for nurses Knowledge of sterile technique Ability to scrub procedures Experience with radiology technology Description: The unit has 6 sites of care that provide a variety of procedures. This includes 3 interventional radiology rooms, MRI, CT, and bedside procedures. The team consists of 3 technicians and 4 registered nurses. There is one seasoned clinical nurse consultant, one nurse with one year of experience, and two nurses with less than three months of experience. The staff operates on a day shift with a call schedule. Patient ratios are approximately 15-25 procedures per day. Equipment includes Phillips and GE imaging systems, with an electronic medical record system utilized for documentation. Candidates with previous interventional radiology or cath lab experience are preferred. The typical procedures performed include angiograms, fistulas, spinal punctures, and biopsies. The ideal candidate will be organized and flexible. On-call duties are required for one week at a time and as needed. Dress code includes Caribbean blue scrubs for technicians and royal blue for nurses.
