TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ICU/Critical Care RN in Washington, Washington DC, 20007! Pay Information $1,995 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: ICU Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum of 2 years in critical care nursing - Experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Experience with multi-system organ failure, IV insulin protocols, GI surgery - Experience with chronic/acute renal failure and IV therapy - Experience in CVA/acute stroke management - Knowledge of external ventricular drains (EVD) - Familiarity with hypothermia protocol/Arctic Sun - Experience in ICP monitoring and post-neurosurgery management - Experience with spinal cord injury and traumatic brain injury - Proficient in respiratory/thoracic care - Knowledge of infection prevention, isolation precautions, and use of PPE - Experience in phlebotomy - Management of surgical wounds with drains and wound vac - Charge experience preferred License: - Must have valid nursing license in hand Certifications: - BLS - ACLS Must-Have: - Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Description: Position involves providing nursing care in an intensive care unit setting. Nurses will be required to monitor and manage patients experiencing critical health issues. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing patient education. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes is essential. Nurses will float within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity as needed. Every other weekend commitment is required. No on-call duties are involved in this position. Candidates must have a thorough understanding of critical care practices and protocols. This position requires strong communication and organizational skills.
