Pay Information $2,070 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a related nursing specialty preferred License: Active RN License in state of employment or compact Certifications: Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Must-Have: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred Description: The competent Nurse practices independently and demonstrates awareness of all relevant aspects of a situation. Provides routine and complex care while developing the ability to cope with and manage contingencies of clinical nursing. Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers to manage the clinical situation. Meets expectations of applicable competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders. Consistent with the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, provides nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients. Addresses increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with their level of practice. Administers medications and treatments using the appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatments. Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided. Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and resources. All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire. New hires will be precepted by a designated trained staff member.
