This is a high-paced and high-acuity environment. The unit accommodates a variety of patient age groups. There will be a typical patient ratio of 4 patients per nurse. The position does not include float requirements. Candidates should have experience managing critical conditions. Scrub colors required are black, navy, and royal blue. Unacceptable attire includes vulgar or slang language on clothing and sweatpants or active pants. This role requires strong interpersonal and clinical skills. The emergency department is the region's largest and most comprehensive. This facility has been accredited and recognized for its safety standards. The emergency department has 20 beds and is equipped to handle various emergencies.
