Slate Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Hilo, Hawaii. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 07/28/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - Med Surg - Peds - Candidate must have Hawaii License by start of assignment. This is an 34 bed adult surgical General Job duties. Knowledgeable in surgical pre/postoperative care Equipment utilized in the unit/dept. Vital signs machines; IV & PCA pumps; WOWS/EMR charting; Pyxis. Standard RPN III skills (at least 2 yrs. experience) in order to be proficient in duties and role as a registered nurse; strong work experience in pre/postoperative nursing (i.e. abdominal surgeries, like lap chole/appy, mastectomies, thyroidectomies, chest tubes, drains Specific licensures and certifications/registrations required. REQUIRED: BLS. ACLS. Travelers will be assigned three 12 hour shifts per week. Travelers may be assigned to float to other units. Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. 1 RN to 5-6 patients.
