Union Position: Yes Join the lab team in providing exceptional patient care and gain valuable medical skills while playing a critical part in our patients’ diagnoses. 8-hour shifts 1:00pm-9:30pm with every other weekend rotation · No phlebotomy experience or certification required. On-the-job training full-time for 5-6 weeks. Prepping & performing phlebotomy on children up to elderly patients Maintain appropriate supplies inventory Charting blood draws Located in the heart of Lake Country, Bemidji offers the perfect escape for anything outdoors including but not limited to fishing, hunting, golfing, hiking, collegiate and local sporting events, four wheeling, snowmobiling, snowshoeing and much more. Obtain laboratory specimens for processing and perform other testing in a professional manner from hospital, clinic and nursing home patients to ensure quality results in accordance with regulatory and accreditation standards. ensures patient safety during the sample collection process. Records and documents patient information accurately. deploys asepsis techniques during phlebotomy procedures. Communicates with patients, collecting their health information and answering their questions regarding phlebotomy procedures. Previous work experience in a medical setting is beneficial. Basic knowledge of human anatomy and medical terminology. Completion of a formal phlebotomy program, phlebotomy experience, and experience in a laboratory-related field preferred.
