Check outthis videoand learn more and discover the “Power of We.” As an CT Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by: Maintains ARRT competency in all clinical and technical functions of the job Understands and operates CT equipment and related information systems appropriately to ensure production of quality images. Ensures proper patient identification, order verification, and prepares the patient for the exam. Follows appropriate protocol for medical necessity, coding and charging, obtaining necessary consents, maintaining applicable QC program and reporting any equipment failures or problems. As ordered by the physician and under radiologist or physician supervision administers contrast media to patients per protocol and provides education to patients regarding safety concerns inherent to contrast administration. Stays updated with the latest advancements in CT technology, techniques, and protocols by participating in continuing education and professional development activities Minimum Qualifications CT Tech Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) within 60 days ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT (R) Upon Hire Licensure in state of practice as applicable, Upon Hire IV Competency within 90 Days Preferred Qualifications For caregivers hired in this role in the State of Colorado, a Fluoroscopy certification Certified Computed Tomography Technologist - American Registry of Radiography Technologists ARRT (R)(CT) Specific facility-based certification may also be required for this role. If this applies, each facility will define and manage compliance 1-2 years Work Experience CT Experience in a hospital setting Minimum Qualifications CT Tech II Current ARRT (R) (CT) registration. Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association or the ability to obtain within 90 days of hire (with prior approval). Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CT Technologist. Demonstrated knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants. Demonstrated knowledge of radiation safety. Preferred Qualifications n/a CT Specialty Tech in Training Minimum Qualifications ( Pay range $32.02 - 49.44 USD Hourly) Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Applicable State License An American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who is currently attending and receiving formal training from an accredited training program or successful completion of formal training from an approved/accredited school or a licensed American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(R) technologist who has been selected to cross-train in another modality. CT Specialty Tech in Training Preferred Qualifications 1-2 years customer service or patient care experience IV Certification Physical Requirements: Location: Platte Valley Hospital Work City: Brighton Work State: Colorado Scheduled Weekly Hours: 20 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
