Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: Minimum 2 years in PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown License: Indiana or compact license required Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Must-Have: - Titrate cardiac drips - Starting IVs - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Charge experience Description: This position requires a registered nurse in the Progressive Care Unit. The nurse will care for patients with almost ICU level acuity. Responsibilities include managing multiple cardiac drips, stable ventilators, and patients with multi-organ and liver failure. Charge nurse responsibilities may be needed, with training and resources provided. Weekly schedules may require working every other weekend, with the possibility of consecutive weekends based on operational needs. Unit travelers may be expected to float to different levels of care, including Med-Surg and ICU. All candidates must comply with floating requirements and may float within the hospital or nearby affiliates. Call-ins for contracted shifts should be managed according to the outlined policy. Candidates must have two supervisor references available. Vaccination for flu is required, with exemptions for medical or religious reasons.
