Registered Nurse (RN), Cath Lab Job Type: RN Medsurg, Days 4x10s (6:00am-4:30pm) On call Required- Must live no more than 30 minutes from the hospital. The cath lab provides services for 13 cardiologists, two vascular surgeons, and one interventional radiologist. Our cardiac cath lab is a specialized unit that is designed to diagnose and treat cardiovascular disease. Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/healthcare errors. Ability to formulate an individualized plan of care, revise plan as indicated by the patient's response to treatment, and evaluation overall plan daily for effectiveness. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, provider, patient and family following chain of command as appropriate. Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs. Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient protecting patient's rights.
