Job Description: The Clinical Program Coordinator position exists to ensure compliance to state, national and other regulatory agency requirements for programs and centers of excellence. The Clinical Program Coordinator in collaboration with the Medical Director ensures optimal patient care through the use of evidence based, clinical best practice models, appropriate staffing and technologies and continuous process improvement measures. The Clinical Program Coordinator is typically based at a hub facility but may have regional responsibilities and oversight for relevant processes at referring facilities. Scope This position is for the Cross Sectional Imaging (CT/MRI) Has oversight of a program. May have direct supervision of staff. Clinical Program Coordinator Coordinates agenda for clinical rounds / cross-sectional imaging meetings Oversee delivery of patient care by professional (MDs) and support staff (Caregivers) Oversees all scheduling and pre-procedure processes to ensure appropriate and timely care Optimize pre-scan case review and documentation Partner with Medical Directors to create a case review process/ quality improvement Be the local expert for software packages used for reporting Manage our advanced/cross-sectional imaging dashboard Track and optimize cardiac MRI/CT scheduling across Primary Children’s/Intermountain for both pediatric and adult congenital patients. Triage patients to the appropriate location and imaging modality (work with R1) Develop and implement plan to meet program goals Advocate and manage resources to provide patient care in a cost-effective manner Develop program Policies and Procedures Partnership with Imaging to train, evaluate, develop caregiver team Promote teamwork by building a team environment and fostering collaboration Coordinate development of patient education resources Serves as a liaison with other Heart Center Medical Directors as to cross sectional imaging issues Develop quality improvement initiatives Coordination with other teams Work with CT / MRI Medical Directors to define and implement hospital goals Coordinate (EMR) changes requests and updates; work on the transition from iCentra to EPIC Developing patient- and provider-facing marketing materials for website, outreach, etc. Implement and support clinical research projects Minimum Qualifications RN license in state of practice. - and - RNs hired or promoted into this role need to have or obtain their BSN within three years of hire or promotion. Five years of critical care, emergency, or department specific experience. - and - Experience in educational program development. - and - Demonstrated experience with quality management programs including registry data collection. Computer skills including the creation of graphs, tables and trend reports. - and - Demonstrated critical thinking skills, data organization, management, and analysis skills. - and - Experience in process development including detailed corrective action plans which demonstrate comprehensive follow up and loop closure. - and - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - and - Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to develop excellent working relationships with physicians and ancillary departments. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN). Education must be obtained from an accredited institution. Degree will be verified. Master's degree. Physical Requirements: Ongoing need for employee to see and read information, labels, monitors, identify equipment and supplies, and be able to assess patient needs. - and - Frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors that require employee to verbally communicate as well as hear and understand spoken information, alarms, needs, and issues quickly and accurately, particularly during emergency situations. - and - Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate complex and delicate equipment with precision and accuracy. This includes frequent computer use and typing for documenting patient care, accessing needed information, etc. Location: Intermountain Health Primary Childrens Hospital Work City: Salt Lake City Work State: Utah Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 The hourly range for this position is listed below.
