Locum Physician (MD/DO) - Surgery - Neurosurgery in Petoskey, MI

Description: We are seeking a board-certified Neurosurgeon for locum 24-hour call coverage (14 days/month). Provider must be proficient in both spinal and cranial procedures. The role includes emergent surgeries, rounding, and inpatient admits at a 202-bed regional referral hospital. Job Responsibilities: Provide 24-hour call coverage including weekends and holidays Perform emergent surgeries (spinal and cranial) Conduct inpatient rounding and manage admissions Collaborate with existing neurosurgery team and APPs Utilize Cerner EMR system Manage 5–10 inpatients per day Participate in orientation and comply with reverse invoicing (via DocTime) ⏰ Working Hours: Shift Type: 24-hour call coverage Schedule: 14 days per month Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Required Skills: Expertise in cranial and spinal neurosurgery Ability to respond to emergent surgical cases Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams Proficient in Cerner EMR Strong decision-making and clinical judgment
