A high-priority permanent opening is available for a Physician Assistant (PA) in Cardiothoracic Surgery in beautiful Colorado Springs, CO. The position provides the opportunity to work with advanced cardiac procedures, endoscopic vein harvesting, and first-assist responsibilities in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Job Responsibilities Provide expert perioperative care for cardiothoracic surgery patients. First assist in complex cardiac surgeries, including endoscopic vein harvesting. Manage ICU and cardiovascular surgical patients, including rounding and evaluation. Rotate through operating room coverage Monday–Friday. Conduct outpatient clinic visits (2 full-day clinics weekly plus additional as needed). Collaborate closely with surgeons, physicians, intensivists, and multidisciplinary staff. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic and laboratory tests. Prescribe medications and develop patient care plans. Perform bedside procedures and ensure accurate clinical documentation. Participate in shared 1:4–1:5 weekday and weekend call (NP covers overnight).
