Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at the Bridgeport Energy facility.
In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing power plant equipment, including mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Key Responsibilities
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on plant equipment Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control systems Work on instrumentation, calibration, and system troubleshooting Read meters, gauges, and equipment data (temperature, pressure, etc.) Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory Use CMMS (Maximo) to track maintenance work and parts Respond to equipment alarms and fix issues quickly Support warehouse tasks like parts handling and ordering Assist during plant outages and special maintenance work Operate equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and lifts when required Follow all safety and environmental guidelines Maintain clean and organized work areas Support and supervise contractors when needed Help with general site upkeep (snow removal, etc.) Requirements
High School Diploma Technical/Trade School (preferred) Minimum 5 years of power plant maintenance experience Strong knowledge of
Mechanical, electrical, and control systems Instrumentation and calibration Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and diagrams (P&ID) Experience with maintenance systems (Maximo preferred) Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Basic computer skills (MS Office, systems, etc.) Ability to operate tools and maintenance equipment Preferred Skills
Experience with power plant systems and operations Certified in Forklift / Aerial Lift / Scaffold inspection First Aid & CPR Certification Knowledge of Siemens control systems (T3000 is a plus
