Job Description Job Description Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Accounts Payable Clerk to assist their team.
Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
Expected starting pay rate of $26.00 to $28.00 per hour.
Job Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests with accuracy, proper approvals, and correct account coding.
Allocate expenses appropriately across programs, grants, and restricted funds.
Prepare weekly or bi weekly check runs, ACH payments, and credit card payments.
Maintain organized and accurate accounts payable records in both electronic and physical formats.
Communicate professionally with vendors and internal teams regarding payment status and inquiries.
Requirements
Demonstrate strong attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Apply a basic understanding of accounting principles to daily activities.
Utilize accounting software and Microsoft Excel effectively to support processing and reporting.
Manage multiple deadlines efficiently in a fast paced work environment.
Leverage experience working with nonprofit funding sources, grants, or restricted funds when applicable.
Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent. 1 year(s) of accounts payable or general accounting experience.
Understand nonprofit accounting practices, with nonprofit experience preferred.
Communicate clearly with vendors and colleagues while supporting AP operations.
Perform general administrative duties to assist the finance team when needed.
