Full-time Position Summary
The Distribution Center and Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, inventory management, and end-to-end supply chain activities to ensure efficient, cost-effective, and timely movement of goods.
This role requires strong leadership, managerial experience, and an ability to optimize logistics processes to meet customer and business demands utilizing data driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Distribution Center Operations
Manage daily warehouse and distribution center operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards.
Oversee equipment maintenance and facility management to ensure smooth and safe operations.
Implement performance metrics (KPIs) such as invoicing and shipping accuracy, on-time fulfillment percentages, and inventory management results.
Supply Chain Management
Develop and optimize supply chain strategies to minimize cost and maximize efficiency.
Coordinate procurement, inventory control, shipping, and logistics functions from inbound freight to outbound shipping.
Work with suppliers, carriers, and internal teams to improve lead times and reduce supply chain bottlenecks.
Analyze data and market trends to forecast demand and manage inventory levels effectively.
Leadership & Team Management
Supervise and develop warehouse and logistics staff, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Conduct performance reviews, training, and team-building initiatives.
Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as procurement, quality/regulatory, finance, HR, and customer service.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to implement automation and technology-driven solutions.
Lead continuous improvement projects using lean or other tools and provide measurable results.
Manage distribution budgets, analyze costs, and recommend financial improvements.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field 5 years of experience in warehouse management, logistics, or supply chain operations (distribution center experience required).
Proven track record in managing teams and operational efficiency improvement.
Skills
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in ERP/WMS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
Analytical thinker with the ability to interpret data and KPIs to make data driven decisions and recommendations.
Knowledge of safety standards, compliance regulations, and transportation best practices.
Working Conditions
Combination of office and warehouse environment.
May require travel between distribution sites or to vendor locations.
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods when on the warehouse floor.
Salary Range
$135,000K
