Lab Technical Assistant

Summary Performs blood and other specimen collection as per procedure; performs clerical/computer functions and specimen processing tasks.

Performs waived and moderately complex tests as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent.

Completion of one of the following

Approved phlebotomy or laboratory assistant program Six months of experience in specimen collection, testing techniques, or a similar field.

Preferred Qualifications Phlebotomy or Laboratory Assistant registry.

Completion of a phlebotomy, laboratory processing, or equivalent program.
