This unique part-time contract role offers a chance to work in an in-person setting supporting students’ diverse learning needs through June 12, 2026.
You’ll begin the assignment by providing focused support to one student for a few hours each week, then extend your expertise to collaborate with other Special Education classrooms.
As the student’s confidence and skills grow, your involvement will help gradually increase their participation in the school environment.
Flexibility will be important as the exact schedule (AM or PM hours) is finalized.
Key Qualifications
Current Washington State Special Education Teaching License and certification (required) Experience and genuine enthusiasm for working with special education students Ability to be adaptable and responsive as scheduling and caseload needs evolve Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, staff, and other educators Commitment to fostering an inclusive, encouraging classroom environment Primary Responsibilities
Deliver one-on-one instructional and emotional support to a designated student, nurturing their academic and social development Collaborate with Special Education colleagues to support additional students and classrooms as needed Assist in the creation and adaptation of individualized education plans (IEPs) Engage in ongoing communication with students, staff, and families This part-time, in-person contract not only allows you to devote personalized attention to those who need it most but also helps shape a flexible schedule that fits your life.

Compensation for this position ranges from $28.71 to $48.71.
