Job Description About the Role The Product/Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, purchasing, inventory control, and customer service functions.
This role ensures efficient workflow, accurate inventory management, compliance with quality and ISO standards, and effective coordination between warehouse staff, suppliers, and customers.
The manager is accountable for performance reporting, staff development, and continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities · Purchasing (25%) – Manage purchasing activities to support inventory requirements and customer demand; select and maintain supplier relationships; monitor lead times and costs to optimize inventory levels; ensure timely procurement of products, materials, and repair items. · Inventory Control (15%) – Oversee inventory accuracy, counts, valuation, and reconciliation; implement best practices for receiving, storage, picking, and fulfillment; monitor stock levels to prevent shortages or overstock situations. · Customer Service (15%) – Support order entry, invoicing, returns, and issue resolution; coordinate customer transactions, special requests, and fulfillment; ensure timely, accurate, and professional customer communication. · Reporting & KPIs (10%) – Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly KPI reports; track purchasing trends, supplier performance, and order fulfillment; use data to support continuous improvement initiatives. · Quality Control (10%) – Ensure compliance with ISO procedures and internal quality standards; monitor product quality, handling, and storage conditions; coordinate corrective actions for non-conforming products. · Team Management & Development (10%) – Lead and supervise warehouse employees and Customer Service Specialist; assign roles and daily workflows; train and onboard new staff; foster a safe, organized, and accountable work environment. · Special Orders & Repair Orders (5%) – Manage special and repair order entry, tracking, and delivery coordination; work with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution. · Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities · Strong leadership and team management skills · Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills · Strong communication and customer service skills · Analytical skills with the ability to interpret performance data · Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment · Proficiency with ERP software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) Education & Experience · Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field — or equivalent experience · 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or purchasing · At least 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience · Experience with inventory/ERP or warehouse management systems · Experience with ISO or quality management systems preferred Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in a warehouse environment, lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally, and stand or walk for extended periods.
Standard office tasks including computer use and phone communication are also required.
Work Environment
This role operates primarily in a warehouse and production floor setting with occasional office time.
PPE is required on the shop floor.
