Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher (Port Operations) Location

Port of Tampa 33605 Pay

$19–$25/hour (based on experience) Position Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator / Dispatcher to join our team in a fast-paced port and logistics environment.

This role requires constant coordination between drivers, warehouse personnel, and internal operations to ensure efficient daily workflow.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-pressure setting, can manage repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy, and communicates effectively across multiple teams.

Schedule & Hours Monday through Friday, starting at 8:00 AM until finish Mandatory overtime based on operational needs Frequent Saturday work required Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily dispatch and logistics operations Communicate directly with drivers, warehouse teams, and internal staff Manage scheduling, routing, and real-time operational changes Maintain accurate records and data entry Troubleshoot and resolve issues quickly in a fast-moving environment Qualifications Strong multitasking ability in a fast-paced, high-volume environment High attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication skills with drivers and field personnel Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities Basic computer proficiency required Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) Preferred Experience We are prioritizing candidates with hands-on dispatch or coordination experience in environments such as

Trucking companies Port or terminal operations Warehouses or distribution centers Service or field operations Candidates who have worked in high-paced, manual, and repetitive operational roles with direct daily interaction with drivers or field personnel will be the best fit.

Corporate logistics, administrative, or compliance-focused backgrounds, while valuable, may not align as closely with the day-to-day demands of this role.
