As a Medical Assistant / Medical Support Specialist, you will be part of an integrated care team specializing in

Pulmonary Medicine Critical Care Internal Medicine Sleep Medicine This role provides hands-on clinical experience, exposure to multiple specialties, and growth in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Position Summary The Medical Assistant supports daily clinic operations through a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including direct patient care, front office duties, and back office support.

Patient-focused and compassionate Organized and detail-oriented Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment A strong team player with the ability to work independently Key ResponsibilitiesFront Office & Patient Support Greet patients and manage check-in/check-out Verify medical history, demographics, and insurance Schedule appointments and coordinate follow-ups Answer phones and assist with patient inquiries Collect payments and support billing processes Process prior authorizations, referrals, and medical orders Maintain a professional and welcoming clinic environment Clinical Duties Assist providers with exams and procedures Take and document vital signs Prepare patients for visits Set up and clean exam rooms per protocol Perform basic clinical procedures and testing Follow infection control and safety standards EHR & Documentation Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) Ensure charts are complete and organized Assist with medical records and documentation requests Inventory & Equipment Monitor and restock supplies Ensure proper storage and availability Report equipment issues and coordinate maintenance Quality & Compliance Support quality improvement initiatives Assist with audits and compliance activities Maintain patient safety and regulatory standards Compensation & Benefits Employment Type
