Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description Job Description Industrial Maintenance Technician We are hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to support a fast-paced recycling and manufacturing operation in Puyallup, WA.

This role is ideal for someone with strong conveyor system experience and a solid background in both mechanical and electrical maintenance.

You’ll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently by troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining critical equipment in a hands-on environment.

Compensation

$30 - $35/hour DOE Schedule

Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00/4:00 PM (will transition into a split shift schedule); occasional Saturdays required Location

Puyallup, WA Responsibilities

Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on conveyor systems and related equipment Replace and repair rollers, bearings, chains, and conveyor components Change out worn parts including teeth and mechanical drive components Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including working with 480V 3-phase motors Program and troubleshoot VFD drives (required) Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams Perform mechanical and electrical repairs in a manufacturing/industrial environment Conduct lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and follow all safety protocols Document maintenance work, updates, and repairs in system logs Work with wire cutting, installation, and system modifications as needed Collaborate with team members to ensure minimal downtime and efficient operations Requirements

Strong experience with conveyor systems (required) Experience with roller, bearing, chain, and mechanical component replacement VFD programming and troubleshooting experience (required) Ability to read and understand electrical schematics Background in industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance Experience working in manufacturing, recycling, or heavy industrial environments Comfortable working in physically demanding conditions (lifting, climbing, confined spaces, etc.) Willingness to work a changing schedule and occasional Saturdays Electrical training, certification, or relevant hands-on experience preferred Benefits
