Strong mentorship program with access to trial academies Job Details The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience practicing construction law and handling a broad range of construction-related disputes and transactional matters.

Responsibilities

Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating construction-related contracts and agreements.

Handling mechanic’s liens and bond claims, including performance bond and payment bond issues.

Managing claims involving changed conditions, unforeseen site conditions, and scope disputes.

Representing clients in disputes involving wrongful termination, abandonment, acceleration, delay, lost productivity, and liquidated damages.

Addressing claims related to defective plans, specifications, and design issues.

Assisting clients with bid protests and procurement-related disputes, when applicable.

Advising clients throughout all phases of construction projects to mitigate risk and resolve disputes efficiently.

Accurately recording and maintaining billable hours while ensuring all deadlines are met.

Qualifications

Admission to practice in the State of New York or Connecticut is required (Admission to practice in New Jersey, and Pennsylvania is a plus).

At least 5 years of experience practicing construction law.

Demonstrated experience with construction contract drafting and review.

Proven experience handling mechanic’s liens, bond claims, and construction-related disputes.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex legal and technical issues.
