Job Description
We are currently working with one of the most established Private Equity firms based squarely in the Washington, DC area as they look to add a Private Equity Associate to their team. They have managed just shy of $7B in AUM and made over 80+ platform investments. The Private Equity Associate seat comes with an incredibly individualized metorship program where they are placed on a platform investment from day one.
Private Equity Associate Responsibilities:
- Help drive all stages of the investment process, including sourcing, diligence, structuring, and portfolio management, with a focus on companies in the technology and software verticals.
- Collaborate closely with the senior leadership team members to analyze and execute transactions.
- Develop and maintain industry relationships to generate proprietary deal flow
- Help lead deal-related analysis, financial modeling, and presentations for investment committee review.
Private Equity Associate Qualifications:
- Top-tier college degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Accounting is preferred but not required
- 2-3 years of investment banking, financial services, or private equity experience
- Superior modeling, problem-solving, analytical, and research skills
- Strong written and oral communication skills, including ability to interact thoughtfully with portfolio company management teams
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet demanding deadlines
- Ties to the Southeast (specifically to the DMV)
