Overview of the Assistant Manager of Sales and Service role
You will support the management team in achieving goals by providing World-Class service, serving as a role model for building customer relationships, and maintaining store supervision to ensure appropriate staff coverage.
Responsibilities
- Lead the store team to create an exceptional customer experience and exceed sales goals.
- Ensure the sales floor is adequately staffed, serving as a role model for sales associates in sales generation and customer service.
- Coach staff on customer service principles, successes, and challenges.
- Utilize training resources to educate the team on products, improve selling skills, and meet business objectives.
- Create a positive environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity, aligning with our People-First Philosophy.
- Ensure timely resolution of client service issues, including delivery, pickup, and outstanding concerns, through effective management of client information systems.
Criteria
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills to identify challenges and develop action plans promptly.
- Effective time management and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities.
- 2-3 years of retail sales or customer service management experience.
Physical Requirements
- Mobility on the sales floor for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., using proper equipment and safety techniques.
- Full-time associates should have open availability; part-time associates must be available for a minimum of two weekend shifts and two weekday shifts, with greater availability as needed.
