At GoDaddy the future of work looks different for each team. Some teams work in the office full-time; others have a hybrid arrangement (they work remotely some days and in the office some days) and some work entirely remotely.
This is a hybrid position. You’ll divide your time between working remotely from your home and our office in Tempe, Arizona, so you should live within commuting distance. Hybrid teams may work in-office as much as a few times a week or as little as once a month or quarter, as decided by leadership. The hiring manager can share more about what hybrid work might look like for this team.
This position is not eligible to be performed in Alaska, Mississippi, North Dakota, or the Virgin Islands.

The Head of Sales, Commerce is a hands-on leadership role reporting directly into our President of Commerce. You will own and drive the overall sales strategy, lead the team to achieve revenue growth targets, and provide guidance on sales processes, negotiation tactics, and closing strategies.

What you'll get to do...
- Lead Strategic Sales Operations: Craft and implement impactful sales strategies, establish key performance goals such as signed GPV and activation rates, and guide the team to achieve ambitious revenue targets
- Encourage and Develop Teams: Lead, mentor, and coach Sales Supervisors and Sales Guides, encouraging a high-performance culture and supporting both individual and team growth
- Optimize Sales Processes and Technology: Manage and improve sales processes, methodologies, and technologies, including Salesforce and AI, to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness
- Elevate Sales Enablement: Partner with Learning and Development and Product Marketing to design and implement robust sales enablement programs, ensuring the team is equipped with the latest tools, training and resources
- Drive Performance Management: Monitor sales performance, analyze key data and metrics, and identify areas for continuous improvement to optimize sales outcomes and drive toward our objectives and key results
- Craft Sales Compensation Strategies: Design, develop and implement effective sales compensation plans that align with our Commerce Business Unit’s growth goals and CAC targets, motivating and rewarding high performance
Your experience should include...
- Domain Knowledge: 5+ years proven experience in payments/commerce with a track record of building, scaling and leading SMB Commerce/Payments teams—both inbound and outbound
- High-Growth Track Record: Proven success driving and delivering significant growth (2x or more) in a dynamic high-growth environment
- Validated Leadership: Experience inspiring, motivating and leading teams to consistently achieve high performance and exceed targets. Set performance expectations and run structured experiments
- Exceptional Communication: Ability to clearly articulate sales strategies objectives and performance insights to a variety of audiences
- Strategic Vision: Skilled in developing and executing long-term sales strategies aligned with business goals
- Strong Analytical Skills: Proficient in analyzing and modeling sales data to uncover trends, opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement
- Business Insight: Deep understanding of business dynamics and how sales initiatives and strategies impact revenue and drive growth
