Shipping Operations & Chartering Coordinator - Kent based.

A unique opportunity to join a highly stable, family-run shipping company to be amongst a small team in a role offering real exposure to all areas of the business and a clear path into shipping operations or chartering —ideal for someone with strong admin skills looking to build a career in maritime.Key ResponsibilitiesActing as first point of contact for operational queries, calls, and time-sensitive issues.Working closely with the Operations Manager to provide coordination support across voyages, systems and stakeholder engagement.

Coordinate day-to-day vessel and cargo activities across voyages, terminals, and internal teams.Assist with voyage instructions, agent appointments, and proforma disbursement accounts (PDAs).Maintain internal systems, support scheduling and invoicing, and liaise with ship managers and external stakeholders.Over time, take on bunkering and voyage planning responsibilities.What we're looking forA strong administrative foundation background with excellent attention to detail.Confident communicator, comfortable dealing with international stakeholders.Organised, calm under pressure, and able to juggle multiple priorities.A team player with a proactive, can-do attitude.Maritime experience is helpful but not required.Candidates MUST be able to travel into the office full-time, based in Rochester Mon-Fri.
