Site Administrator – Temporary Position (Must Be Based Locally in Croydon)We’re seeking a highly organised and proactive Site Administrator to support our project, design, and site teams.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced construction environment, enjoys structure, and takes pride in accuracy, communication, and smooth day‑to‑day operations.Because this position is site‑based, candidates must live locally to Croydon and be able to commute reliably to the project location.Key ResponsibilitiesSite Administration & Office ManagementAct as the main point of contact for the site office, delivering a professional and welcoming front‑of‑house service.Manage visitors, deliveries, and incoming calls, ensuring all site protocols are followed.Oversee daily office operations, including ordering stationery, maintaining supplies, and keeping shared areas organised.Handle incoming and outgoing mail, including Royal Mail online systems.Coordinate meeting room bookings and support diary management for senior site staff.Document Control & ComplianceMaintain and update project documentation across Viewpoint (CDE), R‑Drive, SmartWaste, and Work Wallet.Ensure all documents follow correct naming conventions, workflows, and approval processes.Upload, QA‑check, distribute, and archive drawings, reports, and specifications.Support tender submissions by collating and preparing documentation.Team & Project SupportProvide daily administrative support to the Design Manager and wider project team.Assist with resolving issues quickly and professionally.Build strong working relationships with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.General Office & Operational SupportMaintain tracking logs, registers, and databases.Support general office operations and contribute to continuous improvement.Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to learn new systems and processes.What We’re Looking ForSkills & CompetenciesStrong organisational and time‑management skills.Excellent attention to detail.Confident communicator with a professional manner.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Proactive, adaptable, and team‑focused.Good typing and IT skills.ExperiencePrevious experience in a Site Administrator, Document Controller, or administrative role.Familiarity with CDE platforms (e.g., Viewpoint) is highly desirable.Experience in construction or engineering environments is an advantage.Strong working knowledge of MS Office and shared drive structures.Location RequirementMust be based locally in Croydon with the ability to attend the site daily.Why Join Us?Competitive hourly rate.Supportive team environment.Opportunity to gain experience on high‑profile projects.
