Energy - Premium Technician – 12 Month Fixed Term ContractWe are recruiting on behalf of a well established, independent global insurance and reinsurance broker with a strong presence in the London market.

Known for its specialist expertise, collaborative culture and entrepreneurial approach, the business operates across multiple international territories and prides itself on delivering tailored solutions and high levels of service to clients.Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Premium Technician with strong Energy class of business experience to join their Central Operations team on a 12 month fixed term contract.The RoleYou will be responsible for managing all aspects of premium processing in line with departmental procedures and agreed service levels.

This is a technical role requiring strong Energy class of business knowledge, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete risk profiles within management systemsProduce signed lines, confirmations of placement, invoicing and FATCA documentationCreate and maintain accurate filesProcess and monitor incoming post and emailsProduce and forward documentation to Lloyd’s and LIRMA markets via A&SSend closings to company marketsAssess and process premium movementsMaintain diaries for quarterly and yearly adjustments where requiredComplete LORS entriesMaintain premium payment warranty calendar entriesObtain agreement to premium bordereaux where requiredRespond to market and client queries, liaising with Accounts to ensure prompt settlement of balancesWork collaboratively with other departments to resolve queriesProduce ad hoc reports and maintain statistical dataAdhere to company and regulatory policies, procedures and mandatory training requirementsSupport financial reporting requirements, including monthly phasing of incomeAbout YouAt least 5 years’ experience in a similar premium processing rolePremium accounting experience is essentialStrong understanding of Insurance and Reinsurance principlesExperience with A&S (IMR) and LORS entriesKnowledge of Eclipse or Sequel systems would be advantageousUnderstanding of FCA requirementsStrong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and ExcelExcellent attention to detail with the ability to produce consistently accurate documentationClear and confident communicator, both written and verbalAble to work effectively as part of a team and build strong internal and external relationshipsAble to demonstrate accountability, collaboration, discipline and initiative in your approachThis is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected London market broker on a fixed term basis, offering exposure to complex risks within a professional and supportive environment.
