Are you a creative and motivated Year Out Student (Part 1 Architectural Assistant) ready to take your first step into practice?

We're looking for a Year Out Student to join our Manchester and London Studios at tp bennett and contribute to exciting design-led projects.This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience, develop your technical and design skills, and work alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative studio environment.Job PurposeWorking as part of a project team under the guidance of a Project Lead, you will assist in the design and production of architectural schemes across a range of projects.

You’ll play an active role in supporting the team while developing your professional skills in a real-world setting.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport design tasks under the direction of the project teamAssist the Project Lead in monitoring project progress and achieving weekly targetsPrepare drawings and documentation for review prior to issueEnsure all work complies with relevant statutory regulations and standardsConduct research into materials, products, buildings, and suppliersAssist with supplier coordination under supervisionParticipate in limited client and consultant interactions for specific tasksMaintain job diary, weekly logbook, and timesheetsSupport general office and project-related dutiesAdhere to all Health & Safety requirements in daily activitiesQualifications, Skills & ExperienceRIBA Part 1 qualification in ArchitectureStrong academic backgroundProactive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learnExcellent design and presentation skillsProficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, MS Office, InDesign, and PhotoshopRevit experience desirable but not essentialIf you're ready to build your architectural career and gain valuable industry experience at tp bennett, we would love to hear from you!Please submit your CV and portfolio with your application.We are an employer dedicated to creating equal opportunity, embracing diversity and encouraging a culture of belonging.
