SQL Database Administrator

Join a major M&A Technology programme today!!!We’re seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (MongoDB / DocumentDB) on a contract basis to play a key role in migrating and modernising a high-profile e-commerce data platform into a new AWS-native environment.You’ll be accountable for the design, migration and optimisation of MongoDB workloads into AWS DocumentDB, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and full alignment with internal database standards and change controls.This is a hands-on role for someone with deep MongoDB expertise and proven experience delivering cloud migrations into AWS DocumentDB.Person Requirements8–10+ years’ experience working as a DBA / Database Engineer (NoSQL focus preferred)Strong experience with MongoDB (on-prem or self-managed environments)Proven experience migrating MongoDB workloads to AWS DocumentDBStrong AWS experienceExperience with AWS Database Migration Service (DMS) or similar toolsWorking knowledge of Agile / Kanban environmentsKey ResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver the migration of MongoDB databases into AWS DocumentDB, ensuring compatibility and performanceAssess and remediate feature gaps/differences between MongoDB and DocumentDBPlan and execute data migration strategies using tools such as AWS DMSCollaborate closely with engineering teams to support application changes required for DocumentDB compatibilityNext steps | processWe are looking for a quick turnaround on this with major deadlines in place.
