Technical Paraplanner

A rare new opportunity has arisen to join a leading chartered financial planning firm with a central Edinburgh office for an experienced and technically proficient Paraplanner to join the team.

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced (mostly Chartered) Financial Planning Advisers, contributing to the delivery of high-quality client service and strategic financial advice.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting advisers through the preparation of comprehensive financial reports, conducting product research, and ensuring client data is accurately maintained.

This position requires a proactive approach to managing workflows, collaborating with internal teams, and engaging with clients and third parties.Key ResponsibilitiesDraft and deliver client reports and annual reviews with precision and clarityCollaborate with advisors to implement client requests and financial strategiesMaintain and update client records using financial planning softwareConduct technical research to support financial recommendationsLiaise with clients and external providers, both in person and remotelyEnsure all work complies with regulatory standards and internal policiesContribute to process improvement and departmental efficiencySupport the collection and reporting of management information (MI)Experienced required:CII Level 4 qualification (or equivalent)Previous experience in a paraplanning or technical support role within financial servicesStrong understanding of financial products, planning tools, and compliance frameworksExcellent communication skills and the ability to build trust with clientsHighly organised, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independentlyProficiency in Microsoft Office and financial modelling softwareThis is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a values-driven organisation that prioritises integrity, long-term thinking, and client-first service.
