Structured Finance / Derivatives Solicitor (NQ–8 PQE) | LondonAn exciting opportunity has arisen for lawyers ranging from newly qualified through to senior associate level to join a leading international law firm’s market-leading structured finance and derivatives practice in London.This highly technical team operates at the intersection of financial markets, regulation, and complex risk-transfer products, advising major global financial institutions, trading desks, and structured finance platforms on sophisticated cross-border transactions.The role is heavily documentation and transaction-focused, with exposure to a broad range of derivatives and structured products work.Key areas of work include:OTC derivatives transactionsCollateral and margin arrangementsClose-out netting enforceabilityRegulatory capital treatment and cross-border derivatives regulationInterest rate swaps, FX derivatives, commodity hedging, total return swaps, and credit derivativesStructured notes and Shari’a-compliant hedging structuresEmbedding derivatives into structured note programmesHedging arrangements linked to SPVs and issuancesCoordination with trustees, arrangers, and listing agentsAdvising on securities, collateral, and insolvency frameworksCandidate requirements:NQ–8 years’ PQE gained at a leading UK or international law firmExperience in structured finance and derivatives mattersStrong technical drafting and transactional skillsExcellent academic background and commercial awarenessAbility to work on complex cross-border matters within a fast-paced environmentStrong communication skills and a collaborative approach to client workThis opportunity would suit technically strong lawyers with experience in derivatives, structured finance, capital markets, or financial regulation.If this has caught your interest, I’d love to hear from you.
