Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) ConsultantFully RemoteCompetitive Salary + BenefitsAn established construction consultancy is looking to recruit an experienced Building Regulations Principal Designer (BRPD) Consultant to join their growing Safety & Compliance team.This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering Building Regulations compliance services across a diverse range of projects, while also having the opportunity to help shape, grow, and develop the Building Regulations division within the business.The successful candidate will provide expert guidance in line with the Building Safety Act 2022, working closely with clients, design teams, and stakeholders to ensure robust compliance management throughout the design phase.The RoleResponsibilities will include:Managing and coordinating Building Regulations compliance during the design phaseReviewing design information to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and Approved DocumentsIdentifying and managing compliance risks across projectsLiaising with Building Control Bodies and Registered Building InspectorsSupporting clients in meeting their statutory duties under the Building Safety ActLeading and attending client and design team meetingsDeveloping compliance strategies and tracking systemsSupporting business development activities and strengthening client relationshipsPlaying a key role in building and developing the BRPD service offeringMentoring junior team members and contributing to technical excellence across the teamAbout YouTo be considered, you should have:Membership of a relevant professional body such as RIBA, CIAT, CIOB, CABE or equivalentStrong knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022 and Building RegulationsDemonstrable experience within Building Regulations compliance, technical design, or advisory rolesExperience coordinating design teams and managing compliance riskExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsFull UK driving licenceDesirable experience includes:Working on higher-risk or complex buildingsKnowledge of Gateway processesDeveloping compliance trackers and strategiesMentoring or leading teamsWhy Apply?This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking construction consultancy with a strong reputation.
