Job Description
Youll be responsible for keeping client financial records accurate, up to date, and compliant, while gaining exposure across a wide range of bookkeeping and payroll work.Day-to-day bookkeepingManaging bookkeeping for a varied client portfolioProcessing invoices, receipts, and bank transactions using Xero and DextPerforming regular bank and balance sheet reconciliationsSupporting VAT return preparation and submissionsPreparing payroll journals and assisting with month-end processesSupporting CIS-related work where required(If youre experienced) helping bring records up to trial balancePayroll exposureRunning weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrollsSubmitting RTI filings to HM Revenue & CustomsSupporting pension auto-enrolment processesDealing with payroll queries in a professional and timely mannerWhat Makes This Role a Great MoveYoull work with a friendly, supportive team who enjoy what they doYoull gain exposure to a varied client base, keeping the work interestingYoull build confidence across bookkeeping, payroll, VAT, and CISYoull receive ongoing training and support as you developThere is genuine opportunity for progression within the practiceWhat Theyre Looking ForEssentialAAT Level 3 qualified (or equivalent)Experience working in an accountancy practiceStrong bookkeeping experience using XeroPayroll experience, including RTI submissionsGood understanding of UK VAT principlesStrong Excel skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage deadlinesA confident, reliable communicatorDesirableExperience with DextExposure to CIS and VAT returnsExperience preparing records to trial balanceFamiliarity with Sage Payroll or similar systemsJBRP1_UKTJ
