Customer AccountantEdinburgh (Hybrid)We are currently partnering with a growing and well-established business in Edinburgh that’s looking to appoint a Customer Accountant to join their team.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in accounting or bookkeeping who enjoys working closely with people and is looking to step into a more client-facing, varied role.The RoleYou’ll be joining a collaborative and supportive team, using your finance knowledge to deliver a high level of service to customers while helping them navigate accounting processes and systems.This role offers a strong mix of finance, problem-solving and customer interaction, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working beyond purely transactional tasks.Key responsibilities:Acting as the first point of contact for customer queries via phone, email and live chatSupporting users with queries relating to accounting processes, transactions and system usageDelivering training and guidance to both new and existing customersProactively reaching out to customers to provide support and improve overall experienceTroubleshooting issues and providing clear, practical solutionsAssisting internal teams with testing new features and system updatesBuilding strong relationships with customers and acting as a trusted point of contactAbout YouTo be successful in this role, you’ll be someone who combines strong finance knowledge with excellent communication skills.Key requirements:2–3+ years’ experience in an accounting, bookkeeping or transactional finance roleExposure to areas such as VAT, payroll processes and general ledger activityA solid understanding of core accounting principles and financial processesStrong IT skills, with experience using accounting software (e.g.
