Building Maintenance

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Operator, this role is responsible for carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance tasks across our entire property portfolio.

The Maintenance Operator will ensure all sites are maintained to a high standard, focusing on safety, compliance, and operational efficiency.

The role involves travel between multiple locations across the East Midlands, and London.

We require someone who has excellent communication, organisation, and practical skills.This could be suitable for a finishing foreman or someone who has worked on multi sites as a caretaker.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites, including Basic plumbing, electrical, joinery, painting/decorating, and general repairsEnsure timely completion and site confirmation of tasksRegularly update the internal job reporting system with task status and progressComplete job requests raised through the reporting system and accurately log work carried outConduct routine maintenance inspections to identify and address issues proactivelyRespond to emergency maintenance requests quickly and effectivelyEnsure all work is compliant with health and safety regulations and internal standardsCollaborate with site teams and external contractors on large-scale repairs and refurbishment projectsMaintain clear records of maintenance work, inspections, and materials usedMonitor and maintain tools and equipment to ensure safe and effective operationSkills and ExperienceEssential:Full UK driving licence, you will be given access to a company vanPrevious experience in a maintenance or facilities roleCompetence in basic plumbing, carpentry, tiling, painting, and minor electrical repairsConfidence in changing plugs on basic electrical appliances (e.g. kettle, toaster)Strong communication and interpersonal skillsExcellent time management and organisational abilitiesAbility to work independently and collaborativelyDesirable:Certified First AiderFire Warden qualification
