Associate - Tax (3+ Years’ PQE)Fully Remote | UK-WideThe Opportunity:We are working with a highly regarded specialist tax advisory firm looking to appoint an Associate to join its growing team.
This is a great opportunity to join a high-calibre practice made up of lawyers from leading City and national firms.
The team operates with the flexibility and autonomy of a boutique, whilst advising on the quality of work typically associated with much larger practices.
The role will involve a broad mix of transactional and advisory tax work, with particular exposure to private equity, M&A, corporate structuring and high-growth businesses.The Role:You will work closely with senior tax specialists on a range of complex matters, including:Advising on the tax aspects of M&A, private equity and corporate transactionsDrafting and negotiating tax covenants, warranties and disclosure provisionsSupporting on reorganisations, restructures and demergersAdvising on employee incentive schemes including EMI, CSOP and growth sharesAdvising on EIS/SEIS investments and tax-efficient structuringHandling property tax matters including SDLT and VATThe team regularly works alongside corporate law firms, accountancy firms and business owners, providing commercially focused advice on live transactions across a variety of sectors.What They’re Looking For:Qualified Solicitor with 3+ years’ PQEStrong grounding in corporate / transactional taxExperience gained at a reputable City, national or specialist practiceExposure to areas such as M&A, share incentives, reorganisations or structuring workTechnically strong with a commercial and pragmatic approachComfortable working within a fully remote and collaborative environmentWhy This Role Stands Out:High-quality work usually associated with larger City practicesSpecialist tax-only environment offering strong technical exposureBroad mix of advisory and transactional workDirect client exposure and responsibility from an early stageOpportunity to work closely with experienced senior lawyers in a lean team structureFully remote model with genuine flexibilityCulture & Working Style:Fully remote workingCollaborative and supportive team cultureDirect access to senior lawyers and clientsStrong emphasis on quality over hierarchyOngoing technical development and regular team interactionSalary & Benefits:Competitive salary dependent on experienceDiscretionary bonus with strong earning potentialPensionPrivate healthcareDeath in service benefit
