Position: Machine Learning Engineer

APPLE INC has an opening in Seattle, Washington. The role involves researching, designing, and developing computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Responsibilities include analyzing user needs, developing software solutions using principles of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis, and building scalable systems for deep learning models. The candidate will work with tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax, and others, to optimize deep learning training approaches on ML accelerators like GPUs. The role also involves developing tools for understanding NLP/image models, training and debugging deep learning models, and building backend services for ML model inference.

The position requires utilizing technologies including Golang, K8s, Docker, TensorRT, TensorRT-LLM, vLLM, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Jax, and techniques like model compression, quantization, distillation, and inference.

Compensation and Benefits

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, IT, Networking, Software Engineering, or related field, with 1 year of relevant experience.
• At least 1 year of experience with:
• TensorFlow for model training and optimization
• GCP for model training and serving
• Distributed systems for ML infrastructure
• Model inference for serving ML models
• Online serving frameworks for backend ML services
• CUDA for GPU kernel development
• Docker and GCP for ML infrastructure and evaluation
