We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President – Director to lead observability across the Technology organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product management, a deep understanding of observability tools and practices, and a passion for building high-performance, next-generation observability systems that empower teams to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize their systems. This senior leader will develop and execute a technical roadmap to increase product delivery velocity and unlock new engineering capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop product strategy and vision for observability and monitoring products.
• Define and prioritize product features based on customer feedback, market trends, and business objectives.
• Hire, develop, and support a high-performing team. Promote open-source technologies and solutions.
• Create and maintain a detailed product roadmap aligned with company goals and customer needs.
• Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to deliver quality products on time and within budget.
• Manage the product lifecycle from concept to post-launch support.
• Engage with customers, partners, and stakeholders to gather feedback and understand their needs.
• Conduct product demos, training sessions, and webinars to educate users on new features.
• Define and track KPIs to measure product success and areas for improvement.
• Analyze product data and customer feedback for continuous improvement.
• Present product performance reports to senior management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive products in observability.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus.
• 5+ years in product/project management focusing on observability or related technologies.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of observability principles and tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with data-driven decision-making and customer-centric product development.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Strong cloud platform knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure).
