Responsibilities
As part of our Neurosurgery Team, the Interventional Radiology Technologist collaborates with proceduralists to perform interventional procedures. They operate medical imaging equipment, including single and bi-plane fluoroscopic angiographic equipment, ultrasound, and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and assist with device management. Procedures range from routine diagnostic angiographies to complex vascular and non-vascular interventional and therapeutic procedures.
Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an ARRT-approved school of Radiologic Technology required
- Licenses and Certifications: BLS (Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers by AHA), CRT (State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist), CRTFP (State of California Radiologic Tech Fluoroscopy Permit), ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists, required for hires after 8/30/2020)
