President & CEO Reporting to the Board of Directors Location
Chicago, IL The National Immigrant Justice Center (NIJC) is at the frontlines of defending the rights and dignity of immigrants, asylum seekers, and refugees.
The President & CEO leads the organization in protecting and advocating for people facing discrimination, unlawful attack, and challenges to due process.
Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and organizational direction in partnership with the Board and staff.
Oversee complex legal work and lead a sophisticated law practice.
Serve as a compelling public advocate, elevating NIJC’s voice with donors, policymakers, and partners.
Collaborate with the Board and staff to set strategy and fuel ambitious fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications Significant legal training and experience, preferably in immigration law.
Demonstrated ability to oversee complex legal work and lead a sophisticated law practice.
Litigation expertise is a plus.
Strong public advocacy skills.
Compensation & Benefits Salary range
$225,000 – $265,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
