We are currently parternered with a leading Boutique Investment Management Firm located in Chicago. This well-established firm is extremely forward thinking and has created cutting edge industry opportunities for clients and investors of all sizes in every asset class across the country over the past 15 years

The Firm is looking to bring on an experienced Attorney who will be primarily responsible for running their Risk Management program and overseeing their litigation docket. This individual should have a solid understanding of insurance policy concepts and advising on which insurance policies the Firm should be using on various occasions. This is a critical hire for the Firm and will play a large part in their success in the coming years.

Responsibilities:

• Identify potential legal risks associated with various investments and transactions
• Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risk
• Ensure that all contracts protect the Firm's interests and provide strategic legal advice to senior management
• Advise on appropriate insurance coverage for certain assets and operations
• Oversee the Firm's entire litigation docket and manage outside counsel

Requirements:

• Juris Doctorate
• 5-8 years of experience in litigation, insurance coverage, and/or risk management
• In-house legal experience within the insurance/financial services industry
• Experience in litigation and contract drafting with the ability to assess insurance policies and coverage needs
