The Strategy & Analytics team is lean, collaborative, and fast-moving, with strong executive support and a mandate to build from the ground up.
About the Role
The Senior Data Scientist will help close a technical gap on the team and will play a pivotal role in building and productionalizing models that influence customer strategy, restaurant operations, and business performance. This is a net-new position created due to growth, offering a high level of ownership, visibility, and long-term leadership potential.
The role is based in Miami, FL , with a hybrid structure (typically onsite 4x/week, Fridays remote), and will report to the Senior Director of Strategy & Analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Productionalize and scale predictive models in the company’s ecosystem (e.g., traffic, customer performance, segmentation)
- Lead marketing analytics initiatives under a new CMO, including customer segmentation and value modeling
- Work closely with IT teams to ensure successful model deployment using AWS (especially SageMaker)
- Collaborate cross-functionally across departments, including HQ and international teams
- Present insights and model outputs clearly to senior leadership and non-technical stakeholders
- Help lay the groundwork for future data science talent and best practices
Skills & Experience You’ll Need
- 6–10+ years of hands-on data science experience, ideally in QSR, retail, or consumer product industries
- Strong fluency in Python and SQL
- Proven ability to independently build, deploy, and monitor models in AWS (preferably SageMaker)
- Strong understanding of A/B testing and causal inference
- Broad modeling exposure across segmentation, forecasting, classification, etc.
- Comfortable using GitHub and version control tools
- Excellent communicator with executive presence and the ability to push back with data
- Self-starter who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred; PhD acceptable if not overly research-focused
- Bonus: Experience in Go or Scala, marketing mix modeling

Compensation
- Base salary up to $190,000
- Annual bonus of 20%
- Relocation considered with lump sum package (local candidates preferred)
- TN visa sponsorship available (no broad sponsorship)
