A global architecture, design, strategy, and branding firm—recently acquired by a national engineering and design company—is seeking a temporary, part-time HR Generalist .
Compensation: $40/hr
Availability: 20 hours per week (somewhat flexible, just need to maintain consistency). Hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office. Expected to last through fall or year-end, with the potential to extend depending on business needs.

In this role, you’ll support the HR and Recruiting team with a focus on leave of absence (LOA) administration, compensation coordination, and data reporting. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance, maintaining accurate records, and delivering insights through reports and analytics. The ideal candidate is a team player who thrives on organization, loves working with data, is detail-oriented and collaborative, and is passionate about educating and supporting the team with clear, helpful guidance. Primary Responsibilities
- Works closely with HR and Recruiting to provide compensation reporting and recommendations.
- Supports compensation benchmarking by providing regular audits and updates as needed.
- Partners with HR through compensation review cycles by preparing reports.
- Handles coordination of Leave of Absences with a 3rd party administrator.
- Maintains knowledge of employment law, regulatory changes, and best practices and informs the team.
- Handles firmwide state and federal regulatory reporting and posting.
- Runs standard HRIS reports on a monthly basis, including Ad Hoc reporting.
- Process termination documentation.
- Assists with Immigration and Visas when applicable.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Intermediate compensation analysis and data reporting.
- Proficient in HRIS reporting, specifically Paylocity and/or ADP.
- Intermediate Excel skills, including proficiency in XLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Leave of absence coordination/light administration.
- Proven ability to provide excellent internal client service.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with different levels of the organization.
